Hello,

I would like to tell you a little bit about myself and how I became an educator.  I have just recently finished my last two Masters Degrees in Reading Instruction and Curriculum as well as Teacher Leadership.  As an educator, it is important that I continue to learn along with my students.

I grew up in a military and educational home. My father was in the US Navy and my mother was an 8th grade teacher (same school for 40+ years). I spent the school year in the city and summer months in Tennessee on the family farm. Because of my military background I am very structured in my classroom. I don't have a lot of rules, but feel RESPECT is the most important of all. Respect your environment, respect yourself, respect your parents, respect other people and respect your teachers.

Because of my farming background, I am used to working hard...and so is my family.  I have two sons, Ronald and Patrick, in the US Army.  They both have served several tours of Iraq and South Korea.  I love the outdoors.

Here are some pictures of my family and pets as well.

Welcome to my class.
